FAQ

  • The Key West UFO Tour usually meets at the Edward B. Knight White Street Pier entrance (at the intersections of White Street and Atlantic Blvd.), but we sometimes use alternate locations. Your confirmation email will provide specifics on where to meet.

  • Dress comfortably and wear flat-soled shoes. We see activity between the ocean and the sky. This makes fishing piers and beaches ideal for the sky watch. This can mean more wind, so you may want to bring a light jacket depending on the time of year.

  • Key West has a long history of UFO sightings and a rumored secret underwater base. Your host will share the history, supporting documents, and even videos of recent sightings. We don’t guarantee UFO sightings, but it’s not unusual for our guests to step back and say, “What the f&#k!” Our military-grade night-vision scopes are a game changer for watching the night sky.

  • Our night vision scope enhances the view even with partly cloudy skies, but rain or heavy clouds can kill visibility. If the weather looks sketchy, we will make a decision at least 45 minutes before your scheduled Key West UFO Tour. If possible, we will go out the same night after conditions improve. If this isn’t possible and we cancel the watch, you’ll receive a full refund.

  • To make sure every guest gets time with the night vision scope, we keep our groups very small (usually six people or less), and reservations are required. Call Heather to reserve: (305) 896-9910.

  • Children under ten are not permitted. A night vision scope costs $5000. Children are famous for breaking things. Your child is probably awesome, but aliens tend to abduct the well-behaved ones. Don’t bring an infant or child.

  • Service animals are welcome. Due to the expense and sensitivity of our equipment, and the alien track record for animal mutilation, pets are not allowed.

  • We do! Use code UFO5 to save $5 off General Human Admission tickets. This offer is not valid for tickets already reduced in price, such as the Discount Earthling ticket. Government agents investigating our activity must pay double.

  • Free parking for the Key West UFO Tour is available at 1707 White Street near Indigenous Park and along Atlantic Blvd on both sides of West Martello Towers.

  • No public bathrooms are available. Please plan accordingly. The tour concludes near Salute! On the Beach, a great place for drinks, which has bathrooms for restaurant guests.

  • Yes. The experience takes place on ADA-compliant county or city-owned piers. If you need any assistance, let us know in the comment section when you book.

What to Expect

  • Get yourself to our designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before your scheduled Key West UFO Tour time. Walk, bike, ride-share, or drive. Details on the meeting point and parking options are sent telepathically and included in your traditional confirmation e-mail.

  • After confirming that no CIA agents are following you, your guide will greet you and check you in. Look for a human with an iPad, backpack, and laser pointer.

  • Hear convincing evidence for and against the alleged top-secret underwater base less than 40 miles offshore from Key West.

  • The sky comes alive with night vision. Each guest will get several turns looking at the stars in a way they never have before.

  • Your Key West UFO Tour Guide will explain how to identify aircraft and satellites and where to look for the best chance to spot UFOs.

  • Every tour is different, but your guide may share stories about how the stars and the sky shaped Key West, including accounts of early mariners and the earliest indigenous peoples of the Florida Keys, along with theories about ancient civilizations and the connection between Key West and the lost continent of Atlantis.

  • Beam us up, Scotty! We’ll reveal the leading theories on who - or what - is behind Key West’s century-long UFO conspiracy cover-up that involves three presidents, Thomas Edison, Atlantis, the Bermuda Triangle, Fidel Castro, Guantanamo Bay, and a massive underwater UFO base.

  • We have what is believed to be the oldest object in the Florida Keys, and we’re going to let you hold it.

  • We like to have fun. Be warned that the experience often includes at least one joke about Uranus.

  • Sending a message doesn’t require a massive radio dish and transformer. We’ll show you a new technique believers swear by and experiment with a device designed as an extraterrestrial receiver.

  • Though your feet never left earth , we hope your mind feels like you did. Time to go back to to your own planet with a new appreciation of the Universe.

Our Story

  • David L. Sloan and Captain Heather Clement have investigated Key West’s supernatural world together for more than a decade.

Key West’s UFO Tour launched in 2024, nearly a decade after its founder, David L. Sloan, learned to spot UFOs with night vision technology on a trip to Sedona, Arizona.

Sloan had two encounters with UFOs while growing up and came across dozens of interesting accounts from the Florida Keys during his thirty years of research into Key West’s paranormal history.

After multiple UFO sightings at Key West’s Fort East Martello in 2023, Sloan purchased a military-grade night vision scope and started taking his friends out to look for strange objects in the sky. Most of them saw things they could not explain. All of them wanted more (two of them now work for us as Sky Guides), so Sloan started putting the Sky Watch together.

  • In November of 2023, Sloan received a call (with caller ID) from a Popeyes Chicken restaurant in Minnesota. The man claimed to have military intelligence about an underwater alien base near Key West and gave Sloan a list of topics to research and connect the dots.

Though Sloan thought the call was a joke from a friend or a real call from a real wackadoo, he started looking into a few of the topics and was entertained by what he found. More of the information started to check out, and Sloan soon found himself thinking that the impossible underwater alien base might possibly exist.

The mystery chicken man had instructed Sloan to look toward the Atlantic Ocean on December 31st if he had any doubts. That night, Sloan was getting ready to check in guests for the ghost tour at Fort East Martello when an illuminated object rose out of the ocean and started to dance in the sky. That was all the convincing Sloan needed. You can check out the video on this page.

  • Sloan’s still not convinced about every aspect of the Key West conspiracy, but the hidden history alone is fascinating, and he knew it had to be added to the Sky Watch simply for the entertainment value.

Research into the conspiracy continues and will be shared on the UFO Sky Watch until the grays beam us up or the men in black shut us down.
